Editing Your Presentation

You can keep editing your presentation’s text, fonts, colors, and layouts after it is built. Images remain images, and elements included in an Effect are not individually editable. Turn off the Effect to return to the original slide and edit those elements.

Editing text

Click any text element on a slide to select it. A toolbar appears right above it. Hover over the toolbar, and you will be able to change the font, the size, or the color, make the text bold, or adjust the alignment.

You can also ask the agent to rewrite specific text for you, instead of editing it yourself.

Changing fonts and colors across the deck

To change something across your whole presentation at once, instead of slide by slide, ask the agent directly. For example, say "change all the title fonts to Playfair Display," or "make the colors warmer," and Napkin applies the change across every slide.

The agent works well for precise changes too. If you want to change just one thing on one slide, tell the agent exactly which slide and what you want, for example, "On slide 7, change this text to...," then review the result to check that it matches your request.

Adding, deleting, and reordering slides

  • To add a slide, ask the agent at any point. If you only name a topic, the agent offers a few angles to choose from, or you can type your own.

  • To delete a slide, delete it directly from the editor or ask the agent to do it for you.

  • To reorder slides, drag and drop them in the slide number panel on the left side of the canvas.

If one request would regenerate or delete more than two slides that are already built, the agent asks you first. When it would regenerate slides, it shows how many credits that uses and offers buttons such as Regenerate 3 slides, Only the slides you changed, and Keep my slides as they are. When it would delete slides, the buttons are Delete 3 slides and Keep my slides as they are.

Undoing changes

You can undo any change directly in the editor.

The agent’s changes are grouped into one undo step until you make a change yourself. If you ask for several changes in a row without editing in between, one Undo takes all of them back. Edit something yourself between requests to keep them as separate steps. You can also ask the agent to undo, which works like the Undo button. You can keep editing while the agent works. Your edits during that time join its step, so one Undo takes both back. Undo waits until the agent has finished.
