Exporting Your Presentation

Your presentation's ready. Now you can export it for use in other software, or present directly from Napkin without exporting at all.

Exporting the whole deck

  1. Click Export in the top toolbar.

  2. Pick a format from the list: PNG, SVG, PDF, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.

  3. Click Export.

  4. Your file exports directly to your device. A Google Slides file is created in your Google Drive instead.

Choosing the right format

  • PowerPoint: best for continuing to edit in PowerPoint or importing into Google Slides. Text and supported shapes stay editable; images and Effects stay images. Review fonts and layout in the destination app before presenting.

  • Google Slides: best for continuing to edit in Google Slides. Napkin creates an editable file in your Google Drive. The first time, Napkin asks for permission to add the file to your Drive. Click Continue. The file opens in a new tab. If it does not, click Open in Google Slides. If a pop-up blocker stops the Google window, allow pop-ups for Napkin and try again.

  • PDF: best for sharing or printing a finished, non-editable version.

  • PNG: a high-quality static image, best for dropping a single slide into a doc or deck elsewhere.

  • SVG: a scalable graphic that stays crisp at any size, best if you need to resize a slide without losing quality.

Exporting a single slide

You don't have to export the whole deck. Hover over or click a specific slide to select it, then export just that one, in the same formats.

Presenting without exporting

Click Present in the top toolbar to go full screen and present directly from Napkin without exporting the full presentation.
