Before Napkin builds anything, it asks you a few quick questions. Your answers are what make this presentation genuinely yours, Napkin builds it alongside you, not for you.
Give it as much context as you can upfront, whatever you know about your topic, your audience, and your goal for the presentation. Napkin uses everything you share, and if anything is still unclear, it asks you a few quick questions to fill in the gaps, instead of guessing or assuming.
Each question comes with a few suggested quick replies, but you can always type your own answer instead.
Where the information comes from
Napkin works from what you share. It does not search the web on its own. To bring in real, current information, like market data or competitor details, write a link to the page in your message. The agent reads that page. If it cannot open the page, it says so and asks you to paste the content or attach a file.
Reviewing the outline
Once it has what it needs, Napkin builds an outline based on your answers. Each slide shows a title and a short summary. Click Expand All or Collapse All to show or hide the detail. If you pasted or attached your own text, the outline keeps your sentences as written. If not everything fits, whole sentences are left out and the agent tells you. Napkin then checks with you before building anything further. You can approve it as is, ask for specific changes in your own words, or pick from suggested refinements Napkin offers based on your content.
You're not limited to one round of changes. Ask the agent to refine it again and again, more detail, a different angle, a new section, whatever it takes, until it feels right. Napkin adjusts the outline each time and checks in again before moving forward.
Generation only starts once you approve the outline. See Generation for what happens next.
