Learn how to create visuals that perfectly match your brand or personal style with Custom Brands.
We know how important it is for your visuals to match your brand or personal style. With Custom Brands, you can easily set up a unique style using your brand colors and fonts. Once created, you can generate new visuals in this style or update existing visuals to match your branding—without the hassle of manual edits.

Creating a Custom Brand 🎨
Follow these simple steps to create your own Custom Style:
1️⃣ Open the Brand Studio Panel
Click on the ‘Brand Studio’ option in the top-right corner.
Click ‘+ Create New Brand’ to start setting up your custom brand.
2️⃣ Name & Describe Your Custom Brand
Give your custom brand a name and a short description to help you organize and recognize it later.
3️⃣ Add Your Brand Main and Background Colors
You have two ways to add your brand colors:
Manually: Click the ‘+’ icon and enter the RGB, HSL, or HEX color codes to add colors manually.
Auto-Detect from an Image: Upload a logo or any brand asset (like a screenshot), and Napkin will automatically extract the colors and add them to your color palette.
Background Color: Choose the background color that will be used in your visuals when using this brand.
4️⃣ Pick Your Fonts
Customize your text with different fonts for: Title, Labels, Descriptions. You can:
Choose from Napkin’s built-in fonts via the dropdown menu.
Select from 700+ Google Fonts for more variety.
Upload your own custom font (only .ttf files can be used for now)
5️⃣ Generate & Preview Your Custom Brand
Click 'Generate Brand', and Napkin will create multiple custom brand variations based on your inputs.
Check the preview of different style options, and pick the one that best fits your brand.
6️⃣ Fine-Tune Your Custom Brand
Want to tweak the chosen brand further? No problem! In this final step, you can adjust icon styles, change font weights, and modify line styles, text colors, and other elements to perfect your custom look.
Once everything looks just right, click "I'm Done", and your Custom Brand will be ready to use!

You can use different Custom Brands on the same Napkin for different visuals.
Using a Custom Brand 🎨
Once you've created a Custom Brand, you can use it in two ways:
✅ Apply it to new visuals while generating them.
✅ Transform existing visuals to match your custom brand.
1️⃣ Using Custom Brands for New Visual Generation
To apply a Custom Brand while generating new visuals:
Activate your Custom Brand from the Brand Studio menu by clicking the top-right 'Brand Studio' button, then selecting the custom brand you want to activate.
The activated custom brand will be highlighted with a blue boundary and a bright selected icon to indicate that it’s active.
You can select multiple custom brands at the same time - Napkin will use all activated custom brands while generating visuals.
Click on the Auto Spark icon to generate visuals. You will see visuals generated in all the activated brands.
Select the visual you like, and you’ll see that it follows your selected brand.
2️⃣ Applying Custom Brands to Existing Visuals
You can also apply a Custom Brand to visuals that have already been created. There are two ways to do this:
📌 Apply Custom Brand to All Visuals
Ensure your Custom Brand is active in the Style menu.
Open the Brand Studio menu and click the three-dot menu available on top of the Custom Brand card.
Select 'Apply to All', and the selected custom brand will be applied to all visuals on the page.
📌 Apply Custom Brand to a Specific Visual
If you want to apply the custom brand to only a specific visual:
Select the visual you want to update.
Open the Brand Studio menu and click the three-dot menu available on top of the Custom Brand card.
Click the three-dot menu next to the brand and select 'Apply to Selection'.
Another way to apply the Custom Brand to a visual is by changing the brand from the frame menu:
Select the frame of the visual you want to update.
Click on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the selected visual.
lick 'Change Branding', and you’ll see different style options based on your active brands.
Choose the custom brand you want to apply to the visual and the visual will instantly update to match your custom brand.
Sharing a Custom Brand with Others 🔗
If you want to share a Custom Brand with a teammate or across multiple accounts, you can do so using a Brand ID:
1️⃣ Go to the “Brand Studio” panel in the top-right corner.
2️⃣ Click the three-dot menu on the Custom Brand you want to share.
3️⃣ Select “Copy Brand ID”. This will copy the unique ID for that style to your clipboard.
4️⃣ Share this ID with someone else.
To use a shared Brand ID:
1️⃣ Open the “Brand Studio” panel.
2️⃣ Click the three-dot menu and then “Import Brand”.
3️⃣ Paste the Brand ID and click “Add”. The brand will appear in your list and can be used like any other.
